Dear All enrolled international students：
IEC has made the following arrangements for the selection of scholarship for students in the academic year of 2021-2022.
Special Note:those who are not approved for the Zhejiang provincial government scholarship or the same level of scholarship will automatically be qualified for the next level of scholarship and do not need to re-submit the application documents.
1、 Scholarship Category
Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students, International Students Scholarship of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (including Academic Scholarship and Freshman Scholarship), Special Scholarship for International Students of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, etc.
2、 Application Conditions
(1) Applicants must be a foreign national, hold a valid foreign passport, friendly to China, an international student officially enrolled in IEC, not have applied for suspension, retention or extension of study in the previous academic year.
(2) Applicants must be enrolled in full-time degree program, have good moral character, be in good health, and abide by the law. Must not have a bad record of defaulting on tuition fees, disciplinary violations, etc.
(3) Applicants has no received any scholarship from other organizations or Chinese government.
(4) Applicants who apply for undergraduate scholarships must be under than 30 years old; Master's scholarship applicants must be under than 35 years old; Doctoral scholarship applicants must be under than 40 years old.The age for applying for special scholarships can be appropriately relaxed.
(5) International students in their 1st year of undergraduate and graduate program will be evaluated on the basis of their academic performance and admission interview; Students in other years will be evaluated on the basis of their comprehensive evaluation in the previous academic year.
3、 Academic Requirements
(1) Provincial government scholarship applicants must rank no less than 30% of the total number of students of the same level and major in the academic year.
(2) University-level academic scholarship applicants should rank at least 50% of the total number of students of the same level and major in the academic year.
(3)There is no make-up examination record for the 2021-2022 academic year courses of clinical medicine major applicants (except for public elective courses).
(4) The application requirements for special scholarships are based on the Implementation Measures for Annual Evaluation of Special Scholarships for International Students of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.
4、 Requirment of application documents and introductions
(1) Application of Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students require to submit the Application Provincial Government Scholarship Application form (Appendix 1); Application for International Student Scholarship (including academic scholarship and freshman scholarship) require to submit the Scholarship Application Form of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University for international Students (Appendix 2); Application for special scholarship of the university require to submit Application Form for Annual Review of ZCMU Special Scholarship (Appendix 3).
(2) Transcript of the academic year 2021-2022(Please download from myiec system).
(3) Passport.
(4) Graduate applicants must provide an Approval letterr (Appendix 4). The documents provided by applicant must be true and valid. All submitted materials are non-returnable. Applicants must upload the electronic version of the application documents to the designated location within the specified deadline. Application deadline: 5pm,September29, 2022 (Beijing time).
5、 Evaluation and notification of scholarship
(1) IEC will hold a scholarship evaluation meeting, and the scholarship evaluation committee will vote on the proposed awardees according to the application status, scholarship quota, and reference to the international students' overall quality assessment results, in accordance with the principles of fairness, openness and justice.
(2) IEC will publicize the evaluation results on the International Education College official website and recommended list will be verified by higher authorities for review and approval.
(3) Students who awarded by the scholarship must registered and finish their tuition fee payment according to the specified schedule by IEC, otherwise scholarshop will be forfeiting automatically. If the scholarship recipient is suspended, withdrawn, transferred or has fraudulent scholarship behavior during the scholarship period, the scholarship evaluation committee will hold a special meeting to decide whether to revoke and recover the scholarship.
(4) Other matters that not completed shall be explained by the International Education College.
