The following is an English translation. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions, the former shall prevail.2024-2025 Academic Year Scholarship Application Notice forEnrolled Students of International Education College,Zhejiang Chinese Medical UniversityDear all enrolled international students:IEC has made the following arrangements for the selection of scholarship for students in the academic year of 2024-2025.Special Note: For those who are not approved for the Zhejiang provincialgovernment scholarship, the same level of scholarship will automatically be qualified for the next level of scholarship.1. Scholarship CategoryZhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students,International Students Scholarship of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (including Academic Scholarship and Freshman Scholarship), Special Scholarship for International Students of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, etc.2. Application Conditions(1) Applicants must be a foreign national, hold a valid foreign passport, friendly to China, an international student officially enrolled in IEC, not have applied for suspension, retention or extension of study during the previous academic year or the evaluation period.(2) Applicants must be enrolled in full-time degree program, have good moral character, be in good health, and abide by the law. Must not have a bad record of defaulting on tuition fees, disciplinary violations, etc.(3) Applicants has not received any scholarship from other organizations or Chinese government.(4) Applicants who apply for undergraduate scholarships must be under than 30 years old; Master's scholarship applicants must be under than 35 years old; Doctoral scholarship applicants must be under than 40 years old. Applicants for this special scholarship may be granted an age limit extension of up to five years.(5) The Provincial Government Scholarship, University Academic Scholarship, and Special Scholarship are evaluated according to the recipient’s comprehensive assessment results from the previous academic year.The Single-Item Scholarship is determined by ranking based on specific merit points, and selection is conducted uniformly across the entire college.(6)Undergraduate students in the internship year must already be undertaking their internship within China to be eligible to apply.3. Academic Requirements(1) Applicants for the Provincial Government Scholarship must rank within the top 30% of their academic level and major in terms of annual academic performance, with no failing grades in any courses throughout the academic year.(2) Applicants for the University Academic Scholarship must achieve an academic ranking within the top 50% of their peers at the same educational level and in the same major, with no failing grades in any courses during the academic year.(3) Applicants for the Special Scholarship must meet the academic requirements stipulated in the Implementation Measures for the Annual Review of the Special Scholarship for International Students at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.4. Requirement of application documents and introductions(1) Application for the Provincial Government Scholarship requires submission of the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form for International Students (Attachment 1).Application for university-level scholarships requires submission of the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University International Student Scholarship Application Form (Attachment 2).Application for the University Special Scholarship requires submission of the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University Annual Review Form for International Student Special Scholarship (Attachment 3).Application for the Single-Item Scholarship requires submission of the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University International Student Single-Item Scholarship Application Form (Attachment 4). Applicants may apply for a maximum of two awards from the following categories: Volunteer Service Award, Academic & Competition Award, Cultural Activities Award, Sports Activities Award, and Social Work Award. The Provincial Government Scholarship, Academic Scholarship, Special Scholarship, and Single-Item Scholarship are mutually exclusive and may not be held concurrently.(2) Official academic transcript for the previous academic year (please download it yourself from the myiec system)(3) Copy of the passport information page; (4)Postgraduate applicants must provide an original letter of consent from their supervisor (Attachment 5);(5) Copy of HSK Level 4 certificate (2023-2025autumn clinical medicine).All materials provided by applicants must be authentic and valid. Submitted documents will not be returned. Applicants must submit the hardcopy application materials to their class advisor by the specified deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.Submission Deadline: 17:00, September 20, 2025.5. 2024 The Most Beautiful Dormitory of IEC

2024年国际教育学院“最美寝室” 大赛现在开始正式拉开序幕！全体国际学生:国际教育学院“最美寝室”评比活动将在2024年11月举行。现将相关事项通知如下。Dear all international students who living on school dormitory：The competition of "The Most Beautiful Dormitory" will be held on November. The relevant matters are as follows.  01报名方式和评比时间 How to participate and the evaluation Time网上报名：2024年11月15日(周五)22:00前，每个寝室选出一个寝室代表。由寝室代表在问卷星上提交报名表《浙江中医药大学最美学生寝室申报表》并且填写寝室相关信息，（每一个寝室在问卷星上原则上只能提交一次，请仔细确认后再提交）。现场检查与评估：2024年11月22日（周五）下午15:00，学校的评比小组将进行现场检查打分。请寝室成员做好相关的准备,确保检查的当天至少有一个寝室成员在现场。Online registration: Before 22:00 on 15th November, 2024.Each dormitory should elect a dormitory representative . The dormitory representative should submit the application form （"2024 the most beautiful dormitory of IEC"Declaration Form） and fill in the relevant dormitory information on the questionnaire. Come and actively participate to make your dormitory shine and win these exciting prizes and precious bonus points! 05评比细则    Evaluation rules（一）寝室基础文明（45分）1.室内无异味（10分）2.地面、桌面、床面干净整洁，物品摆放合理（10分）3.垃圾定期清理（5分）4.卫生间整洁有序（10分）5.寝室门口、走廊过道上不堆放物品。（10分）（二）寝室安全管理（30分）1.无违规使用电器（5分）2.未饲养小动物（5分）3.无违规接插线板及电线（5分）4.人离寝室要关闭电源，吹风机、电脑、台灯、移动电源、充电器等不使用时断开插座（5分）5.人离寝室及时锁门（5分）6.无其他危险隐患，如：明火、床上充电等（5分）（三）寝室内部管理（5分）1.寝室关系和睦、无不良行为（3分）2.寝室成员热情、懂礼貌（2分）（四）加分项（20分）寝室装饰或设计风格特色鲜明，具有创意。（20分）（五）如出现下列情况直接取消评选资格，并定级为不合格寝室。1.评比时发现房间内存放或使用违章电器。2.寝室成员有其他违反公寓管理规章制度的行为。（一）Dormitory Basic Civilization  (45 points)1. No odor in the room (10 points)2. The floor, desk and bed are clean and tidy, and reasonable placement of the items  (10 points)3. Garbage cleaning arrangement in regularity (5 points)4. The hygiene and cleanliness of toilet (10 points)5. No belongings stack at the door or corridor in dormitory. (10 points)(二) Dormitory Safety Management  (30 points)1. No illegal using of electrical appliances (5 points)2. No feeding small animals (5 points)3. No illegal using of electric multi-tap and wires (5 points)4. Proper using of electric, such as turn off the power when student leave dormitory, and disconnect the socket when the hair dryer, laptop, desk lamp, mobile power supply, electric charger, etc. are not in use (5 points)5. Lock the door in time when student leave dormitory (5 points)6. No other hidden dangers, such as open flames, charging in bed, etc (5 points)(三) Dormitory Internal Management  (5 points)1. Harmonious dormitory roommates relationship and no bad behavior (3 points)2. Dormitory members are warm and polite with their attitude (2 points)（四）Additional points  (20 points)Dormitory decoration or designated style is unique and creative. (20 points)（五）In case of any of the following circumstances, the selection qualification shall be directly canceled and rated as unqualified dormitory.1. If found illegal electrical appliances are stored or used in the room during the evaluation.2. Dormitory members have other behaviors in violation of Dormitory regulations and management.

IEC teaching affairs department held an academic support meeting

IEC teaching affairs department held an academic support meeting on July 3 for undergraduate pharmacy batch 2021 and 2022.  Prof. Shen Li from College of Pharmacy was invited to speak. He taught "organic chemistry D" in collaboration with Dr. Jean-Philippe Monserrat, a French teacher. Prof. Shen started by asking students questions of “Why come to China to study?” ,“What did you do in class?”,“How much time did you spend studying after class?” and“How did you feel about your studies last semester?”Foreign students were asked to write some test questions from Chinese students' exam paper.      Prof. Shen also shared his own notes he still keeps from his undergraduate period, in order to give foreign students some ideas of the gap between Chinese and foreign students. In the end, Prof. Shen gave some advice on how to study pharmacy, reminding foreign students to spend more time and energy to catch up with their studies. A review lecture is to be held by him and Dr. Jean-Philippe Monserrat during summer vacation, and each student was required to submit personal improvement plans after the meeting. IEC teaching affairs department explained international students' academic warning regulations ,as well as addressing some common problems of international students.

Chinese and foreign teachers and students discuss the closing ceremony of the Winter OlympicsOn the evening of February 20, the closing ceremony of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games was held at the National Stadium as scheduled. Chinese President Xi Jinping and International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach attended the closing ceremony.The closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games takes "The story of a snowflake" as the clue to tell the theme of "One world, 0ne family", which reflects the concept of "Faster, Higher, Stronger --Together" of the Olympic Games.The global situation of COVID-19 still being ravaged, the organizers of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games implemented strict closed loop management and other epidemic prevention measures, which provided warm reception for athletes all over the world and set up a stage for athletes to show themselves. During the Winter Olympics，athletes from different countries spoke highly of the venue facilities，Winter Olympic Village and closed loop management. The themes of sportsmanship and camaraderie were shown by the athletes. I specially liked the part where excited athletes appearing no less excited than they did during the opening ceremony paraded one last time proudly waving their nation's flags... Gathering students along with teachers to enjoy those moments and discuss interesting details that caught each and everyone’s eyes was a big pleasure. We were all impressed by how China celebrated the success of other champions from other countries reflecting the world union and the strength of its bonds all over the planet. The colors of different flags and the teams from different places with their anthems added a magnificent look to the stadium in Beijing and reflected how much respect China has for the participants as the organizing country. I was very entertained by the atmosphere of laughter and joy as well as sharing delicious snacks with the other schoolmates  i haven’t seen during the holiday.
